I am attempting to do a creative 365 challenge, where you do one piece of art of craft for every day of the year. I probably won’t manage to finish something every single day of the year, but WIP’s count. I need a little kick into doing more arty stuff, cause I’m horribly lazy and I also need to fill out a portfolio, cause I might possibly be doing an art foundation in the autumn (haven’t decided for certain yet though) and I need a nice portfolio to get in!

An interpretation of Snow White, with a bit of art nouveau inspiration. I intend to do the evil Queen next and if all works out I’d like to make a mirror frame using the two drawings (plus lots of decoration).
Also, I ran out of paper space, otherwise I’d have done a big sweeping skirt, dissolving into flowers at the end. But alas, there is only so much to an A4 sketchbook… I may tape an extra sheet on and add the rest in later.
Feeling: creative

Opening up a new blog is always pretty awkward. You do that sickeningly cheerful thing, the bright “Hello, I’m whatserface from the planet foom and this is my sparkly new blog” thing and then you sit there like a big silly prawn, not sure what to say next.
So let’s not do that.
Let’s post naked people instead!
Alright, so they’re bases and as such are about as titillating as a Barbie doll (and if that is your thing then please, I don’t want to know…). But never mind. Bases are good too, right? Right?
They may look somewhat familiar to some. Back at the dawn of time, there was a dolling forum called The Underground. ‘Twas a place of wonder, even if in the end the dolling section was rather minuscule in comparison to all the other unrelated sections. And in this place there was a project. A directory, of sorts, where each member could have an entry full of all the information about themselves that you had never before realised you needed to know, complete with a pixelated self-portrait. In order for some semblance of order and uniformity be kept, a contest was held to find a base for all to work off. I entered, I won. Possibly because only 3 people entered, if memory serves. My base was used for many moons, long after I had left the forum and then, one day, the forum met it’s end. Accounts of what happened are hazy at best. Since then the base has had no home, and was, let’s face it, looking somewhat dated and a bit skanky anyway, until now. Now it surfaces once more, polished and tweaked and still not perfect but nonetheless far better than it was. I give you… the UG portrait base. Renamed Eugenie and Eugene in memory.
Come hither for the bases…
